OLD LOVERS TALKING by Kenneth Pobo

My husband and I like to chat at night,
the moon and a bag of popcorn nearby.
We often bring out candles for soft light.
My husband and I like to chat at night,
sometimes about the news, people who might
come after us, beat us until we die.
My husband and I like to chat at night,
the moon and a bag of popcorn nearby.
